Live painting - scroll down for more images
I attend your event and do a live painting of a moment or scene of your choosing.
When you commission a painting from me, I guarantee the following:
-
a vivid, attractive colour palette
-
faithful people likenesses
-
studio editing until you're completely happy with your painting
For a wedding ceremony painting I usually arrive early to set up and start painting the background and decor. I take quick photos of the VIPs who will appear in the painting (eg. family and close friends) just before or after the ceremony, then I take a reference photo of the scene the couple have chosen for their painting as it happens - this could be the handfasting moment, the confetti throw, or at Hindu weddings the garland exchange moment, circling the fire, or the ring-in-bucket game. No-one needs to stand and pose for me. After the ceremony, I continue to paint, guests can enjoy watching the painting unfold and the VIPs can enjoy watching themselves appear. By the time the couple come to the easel, the painting is largely complete and ready for them to enjoy. They can take it with them there and then, or they can let me take it away and add finishing touches and details in my studio. This way I can make any edits the couple want, and also varnish the painting which protects it and makes the colours more vivid. The painting is then sent to the couple by secure courier.
I can also paint a scene or moment from your wedding reception (eg. cake cutting, first dance etc), or from your party or reunion - it works in pretty much the same way. Bear in mind that if you want to see a largely finished painting by the end of your event, I need the painting time to do it: 4 - 5 hours for a "couple only" painting, and 6 - 8 hours for "couple + VIPs".
Get in touch through the Contact page to find out about my live painting packages and prices. My prices are all-inclusive, so whatever package you choose, you can rest assured that there will be no hidden costs, or surprise charges further down the line.
